Victory Teams win Class 1 World Powerboat Championship in Budva
The Dubai Victory Team maintained their 100 per cent start to the season as Mohammed Al Marri and Nadir Bin Hendi led home a Victory one-two in today’s Hypo Group Montenegrin Grand Prix in Budva.
Victory 1’s Al Marri and Bin Hendi dominated the 23-lap, 93.83Nm race from start-to- finish too win comfortably from team-mates Abdullah Al Mehairbi and Jean-Marc Sanchez in Victory 7, with Middle East rivals, Abdullah Al Sulaiti and Matteo Nicolini taking third place in Qatar 95.

Party Time is Starting!
Montenegro Living is sponsoring the big summer party season opening event in Budva. Star guest of the evening is Belgrade DJ Dejan Milicevic ''Teshka mashineria''. There is, of course, nowhere "new" under the sun, but the travel industry's constant quest to tempt us means that there is a steady flow of places, near and far, that open up to organised tourism. In Europe this year, the target is another fragment of the former Yugoslavia: Montenegro. This southern Adriatic republic is the continent's youngest sovereign state - it seceded from Serbia last May. This year, an estimated 75,000 British travellers visited Montenegro, but the aim is to boost that to 700,000 within five years.
Montenegro crams a lot of attractions into a small area. It has an appealing slice of Adriatic coastline; southern Europe's only fjord; deep river canyons; four national parks; and a spectacular mountain range where skiing resorts are being developed. Culture-seekers will find Byzantine-style monasteries and churches, and Venetian palaces in this self-styled "wild beauty" of the Mediterranean that could become a serious challenger to its neighbour, Croatia.
Ten large new hotels are due to open in the next 12 months to accommodate the early influx. The expansion of the airports at Podgorica and Tivat is likely to attract the low-cost airlines: rumours have already begun about spies from Ryanair "sniffing around".

Team Training
The Montenegro Living team test ran a training scheme for the Montenegro Training Forum in co-operation with Syd Forum. Montenegro Training Forum is developing training schemes for businesses to offer their employees across Montenegro and also in the future for potential employees to prepare them for the work place. The training schemes are targetted at the needs of the specific business.
Our employees attended a team building session over the weekend at the Syd Forum training centre in Muo. It was a most enjoyable but exhausting experience but everyone came away feeling much had been learnt. We look forward to many more such sessions in the future.

New Staff member
Montenegro Living welcomes Sinisa Kostic to our team as Assistant Project Manager. Sinisa completed his law degree at the University of Belgrade following which he worked for the Belgrade legal firm Jerkovic and the Herceg Novi based construction company Novi Prvoborac.
Sinisa will be the point of contact for clients requiring project management services and will be responsible for seeking permissions and permitts from the local councils.

The UN will be constructing a building in Podgorica. This will be the first building in the world to be constructed as an 'Eco Building'.

Exhibition of Economy
The First International Exhibition of Economy took place in Podgorica from 22nd to 26th November 2006. Tade, construction and tourism firms were among the exhibitors with over 40 companies represented. The exhibition took place under the auspices of the Ministry of Economy and Podgorica Council.

New coffee shop in the old town of Kotor
Every Saturday is market day in Kotor. Various stalls offer fresh organic local vegetables, fruit, fish and milk products. Well known olive oil and olives, smoked ham, and domestic Montenegrin wine and the local fire water named Rakija. All these sights and sounds can be enjoyed from the new coffee shop.

The Montenegrin Touristic Agency and Independent Newspaper 'Vijesti' are asking all locals and visitors to Montenegro to send their suggestions regarding this year's Annual Award 'Wild Beauty Award' for improving the quality of tourism.
